Remotely sensed monitoring of land surface albedo and ecosystem dynamics

I am a post-doc researcher at University of Helsinki. I did my doctoral studies in the Geoinformatics group at Aalto University, with a research focus on Remote Sensing of Ecosystem / Forest Dynamics (2017-2020).

I used hyper-temporal remote sensing images to characterise the ecosystem behaviour and explore its resilience / stability. In addition, I focused on albedo (reflectivity) variations of forests due to fire or drought occurences at a local scale. You can read my dissertation:

During my doctoral studies, I collaborated with scientists of the University of Twente (Netherlands), the University of Xiamen University (China), the ETH Zurich (Switzerland), and a different department at the same university than my research group's department at the Aalto University (Finland). Simultaneously, my publications have been increasing in quality and quantity over time. One of my papers has been published in a top journal of my field of study, namely "remote sensing of environment". My list of publication:

· Got a 9-month research grant from CIMO program in Finland
· Got a 4-year PhD grant from Aalto University.
· Ranked as 1st among 31 students in M.Sc. program.
· Won the award for the best M.Sc. thesis in the IAU University.
· Published several papers in peer-reviewed journals.
· Ranked as top 1% of applicants in the Nationwide Entrance Examination and awarded the full scholarship for the bachelor studies.
